Do I need a controller to play Cinnabunny?
Short Answer: If you’re playing by yourself, no. If you’re playing with someone else, yes.
Long Answer: Player 1 has the option of keyboard/mouse or controller. If you are playing local co-op multiplayer, then the second player must have a controller (i.e. there is no split keyboard controls). The controller must be compatible with your windows software (I use xbox controllers which work nicely, although I know of people who have used playstation and pro switch controllers successfully).

What is your timeline for release?
My target release dates are as follows:
Q3 2024 - A closed alpha test (hand selected testers for this one)
Q4 2024 - A closed beta test (for my wonderful kickstarter backers who have beta access as one of their rewards)
March 2025 - Target release date on Steam
Beyond - Free content updates and possibly ports to Nintendo/Xbox/PlayStation

Why Kickstarter?
Kickstarter gives us indie devs an excellent opportunity to finance development of the game while still keeping the intellectual property to ensure it stays true to its vision. My vision is for Cinnabunny to have the same fate as Bunhouse - a complete game on launch, free content updates after launch, and certainly no microtransactions.

Will Cinnabunny ever be cross platform? Could I play with someone on two separate computers?
No. Cinnabunny does not have online multiplayer and I don’t plan to add it (as a solo dev, I simply don’t have the experience or knowledge to make that happen in an acceptable way and, while I could likely learn, it would take up too much of my time that I believe would be better spent on polishing and adding more content).
Cinnabunny is a local co-op game, meaning you have to be using the same system / computer to play with your buddy. The only way around this is with Steam’s Remote Play Together feature which allows PC players to play online together by simulating a local multiplayer environment (one computer hosts essentially). For this feature to work, the second player needs to have a compatible controller (this is a limit of the game engine I use and there is no way around it).

What game engine is Cinnabunny developed in?
Unreal Engine 4.
Why not Unreal Engine 5?
Bunnies can’t count that high.

Is there a demo available?
Sadly no. As a solo developer, I have to be extra cautious with my time to fight bloat, scope creep, and to ensure I can deliver things on a reasonable timeline. Adding a demo would simply take up too much of my development time.
That said, I am a big believer in my work. If you end up backing and come to discover the game doesn’t play how you imagined, I would be happy to refund the cost of the game.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
